Sana’a: Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh Bin Habtoor, a member of the Supreme Political Council, has sent a message of condolence and sympathy on the death of the veteran freedom fighter Abdulqawi Mohammed Rashad al-Shaabi, following a long and distinguished career in the national struggle against the British occupation.
According to Yemen News Agency, in his message to the family of the deceased, the Supreme Political Council member praised the virtues of the late al-Shaabi, who was a prominent national, political, and social figure and one of the first members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after independence.
He noted al-Shaabi’s contributions to national and diplomatic work for many years through the leadership positions he held before the blessed reunification of Yemen, highlighting his role as a member of the Political Preparatory Committee for the National Dialogue in the Republic of Yemen.
Dr. Bin Habtoor expressed his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family, relatives, and comrades of the deceased, praying to Allah Almighty to grant him His mercy, forgiveness, and pleasure, to admit him to Paradise, and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace. “To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”
