Al-gadarif: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed, has praised the significant role played by the health sector in Al-Gadarif State in providing medical and treatment services to citizens in Al-Gadarif.
According to Sudan News Agency, during her visit to Al-Gadarif Teaching Hospital, Dr. Nawara was accompanied by Al-Gadarif State Wali (governor), Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, and other officials. She commended the hospital staff's efforts in delivering medical care to the people of Al-Gadarif and those who have sought refuge in the state due to the ongoing conflict.
Dr. Nawara emphasized the importance of overcoming the challenges faced by the hospital. She mentioned that efforts would be coordinated with the state government and relevant authorities to enhance the provision of medical and treatment services and to ensure treatment accessibility.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Amin Adam, Director General and Minister of the Ministry of Health and Social Development, highlighted that Dr. Nawara's visit was part of her initiative to visit the eastern states. He mentioned that she assessed the health conditions and services that the hospital offers to residents and displaced persons. Her commitment to improving health services at the hospital, including the establishment of an oxygen station and the completion of pediatric and internal medicine towers, was noted to have a positive impact on the hospital staff.
Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed also inspected several divisions at Al-Gadarif Teaching Hospital during her visit.
