Sana'a: Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Sam Al-Bashiri inaugurated on Monday the work of the Economic Information Analysis Unit in the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection sector of the ministry. Al-Bashiri, along with Acting Deputy Minister for the Trade and Consumer Protection Sector Mohammed Qutran, listened to a briefing from specialists on the unit's operational mechanism, including data and economic information collection procedures and analysis methodologies.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Minister of Economy described the launch of the Economic Information Analysis Unit as a qualitative leap in the ministry's work in dealing with economic conditions, supporting strategic planning, early forecasting, and improving the business environment. He pointed out that the unit's role in collecting, processing, and analyzing economic data and presenting it in the form of indicators and charts will provide decision-makers with a clear and realistic picture of economic conditions. This, in turn, will enable them to make sound decisions, respond to changes, and manage emergencies at both the local and international levels.
Al-Bashiri also noted that the services of the Economic Information Analysis Unit will be made available to all government entities, thereby enhancing integration among all economic units.
