According to Yemen News Agency, the session commenced with verses from the Holy Quran. The Cabinet extended its congratulations to the Iraqi people following the Iraqi Coordination Framework's nomination of Ali al-Zaidi for Prime Minister, expressing hopes for his success in meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi populace. The Cabinet reiterated its support for the Islamic Republic of Iran's right to self-defense and condemned actions by America and Israel against the Arab nations, affirming that Yemen will not remain passive in the face of such aggression.
The Cabinet commended the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon for its military operations and resilience, while expressing concerns over Lebanon's negotiations with Israel, suggesting these talks could undermine Lebanon's national interests. Furthermore, the Cabinet acknowledged Yemen's security services for their efforts in capturing intelligence operatives and highlighted the community's role in supporting these agencies.
The Cabinet examined a report from Fahd al-Azzi, Acting Director of the Prime Minister's Office, detailing the progress of the 1447 AH annual plan and preparations for the 1448 AH plan. It recognized the achievements thus far and urged ministries to intensify efforts to complete the plan and finalize arrangements for the upcoming year.
Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali, Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development, presented a report on improving public service quality and procedure streamlining. The Acting Prime Minister emphasized the need for ongoing evaluation of public service units and encouraged ministries to maintain open communication with citizens.
The Cabinet also reviewed reports from key authorities, including the General Authority for Zakat and the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, discussing challenges and strategic roles in their respective domains. Additionally, the Council considered measures to reduce begging as part of a broader social welfare initiative.
The session included briefings from Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Nabih Nasser, on summer course arrangements, and Major General Abdulmajid al-Murtada on the security landscape. Updates were also provided by Dr. Abdullah al-Amir, Minister of Oil and Minerals, and Sam al-Bishiri, Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, on the supply of petroleum products and essential goods.
The Cabinet concluded by addressing various agenda items and determining appropriate actions, underscoring its commitment to stability and development amid regional challenges.
