Sana'a: The Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment and the Yemeni General Corporation for Cement Industry and Marketing have condemned the recent aggression against the Bajel and Amran Cement Factories and other civilian facilities.
According to Yemen News Agency, both the Ministry and the Corporation released a statement affirming that the deliberate targeting of these industrial facilities and civilian objects highlights the aggressive tactics of the attacking entity. The statement described these actions as blatant crimes, consistent with a long-standing pattern of hostility.
The statement detailed how the attacks on the Bajel and Amran Cement Factories, as well as ports and other civilian facilities, are not only direct assaults on civilians but also malicious attempts to worsen the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. This crisis has been exacerbated by ongoing aggression and blockades.
Further, the statement noted that these attacks have rendered the Bajel and Amran Cement Factories inoperative, impacting thousands of workers and families who rely on these factories for their livelihood. Additionally, it emphasized the loss of social and medical services that the factories provided to local communities.
Highlighting the purely service-oriented nature of the targeted facilities, the statement also criticized the international community for its silence on the ongoing crimes in the Gaza Strip, suggesting that this silence has emboldened further acts of aggression. The aggression in Yemen is described as an extension of this aggressive mentality.
The statement called on the United Nations, international organizations, and global citizens to denounce the attacks on civilian facilities and reaffirmed that the Yemeni people will continue to seek justice for the crimes committed. It emphasized solidarity with Palestinians, vowing to persist until the aggression is stopped and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
