Economy Ministry Unveils New Website and Trademark Examination System

Sanaa: The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment officially launched its new website and trademark examination system on Tuesday. The launch took place during a meeting of the ministry's technical and IT team, chaired by Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Sam Al-Bashiri.

According to Yemen News Agency, the new website, available at , offers a range of electronic services, including an online portal for receiving complaints and feedback. It also provides an interactive platform offering guidance and advice for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and productive families, as well as access to user guides for the ministry's e-services.

The website features digital services that cover the ministry's various sectors and hosts a comprehensive database of laws, regulations, and decisions governing economic and investment activities. It includes a dedicated portal for the ministry's affiliated entities, offering information on ministry offices and branches across governorates, and related institutions, authorities, and economic units.

During the meeting, officials also launched the electronic trademark examination system, which serves as a digital identity platform for trademarks. This system enables automated similarity detection, helps combat counterfeiting and impersonation, and verifies trademark validity and compliance with legal requirements before granting legal protection.

The launch ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister for Policies, Studies and Planning Fouad Al-Junaid, Director General of the Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization Abdullah Al-Atifi, Directors General of Companies and Information Systems Hussein Azzan and Arwa Al-Qubati, along with members of the technical and IT team.
