Education Sector in Ibb Launches Commemoration Activities for Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

Ibb: The education sector in Ibb governorate initiated activities and events on Wednesday to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday for the year 1448 AH, under the theme "At Your Service, O Messenger of Allah."

According to Yemen News Agency, Governorate Mobilization Official Abdulfattah Ghallab highlighted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday signifies the Yemeni people's deep connection to the Prophet Muhammad and their dedication to his teachings, values, and principles. Ghallab characterized the occasion as a spiritual expression of loyalty to the Prophet and adherence to his exemplary life.

He remarked on the historical support of Yemenis for the Prophet's message since the inception of Islam, emphasizing their continued adherence to his path in facing challenges while upholding Islamic values and principles. Ghallab underscored the importance of learning from the Prophet's life to enhance resilience, unity, and faith-based identity.

Ghallab discussed the Prophet's life, emphasizing his values of mercy, justice, and wisdom, and urged the translation of these values into everyday actions across various life aspects. He called for the integration of Prophetic morals as a foundation for societal development and addressing challenges.

Governorate Education Sector Official Mohammed Al-Ghazali stated that the commemoration is a significant educational and spiritual occasion to strengthen students' faith-based identity and instill values and ethics derived from the Prophet's life. This will enhance awareness and protect future generations against challenges to identity, culture, and values.

Al-Ghazali described the Prophet Muhammad as humanity's foremost teacher, whose guidance established the foundations of knowledge, justice, and mercy. He asserted that drawing inspiration from the Prophet's life prepares a generation imbued with faith, knowledge, and moral values, capable of fulfilling responsibilities toward religion and nation.

He emphasized the activation of educational and cultural programs, completion of decoration works at schools, and conducting field visits to ensure readiness for the commemoration. Al-Ghazali called for wide participation in the central and concluding events of the Prophet's Birthday.

Abdulrahman Al-Habri, Head of the Curriculum and Guidance Division, noted that the commemoration reflects devotion to the Seal of the Prophets and aids in developing students' knowledge and behavior, reinforcing Prophetic values and ethics for building a conscious and responsible generation.

Deputy Head of the Education Division, Dr. Aref Al-Qadri, discussed the significance of the Prophet Muhammad's character and his influence on Yemenis. He stated that commemorating the Prophet's birthday in educational settings strengthens students' connection to the Prophet and encourages the application of lessons from his life within the educational environment.

The event, attended by various education officials and representatives, included a poem by Abdul Qader Al-Banna, highlighting the occasion's significance and the Prophet's place in the hearts of Yemenis.

In conjunction with the celebrations, the governorate's education sector launched a comprehensive cleanliness campaign at its headquarters and schools.

During the campaign's launch, Al-Ghazali stated that cleanliness is an Islamic value and a civilized practice, representing an honorable way to celebrate the occasion. He emphasized that schools and educational institutions should exemplify cleanliness, discipline, and an appealing learning environment, promoting positive behavior among students and the preservation of public property.

Al-Ghazali added that the campaign is part of an integrated program for the Prophet's Birthday preparations, covering schools, education offices, and related facilities. The aim is to present educational institutions appropriately while fostering teamwork and voluntary initiatives among educational staff and students, in line with the values advocated by the Prophet Muhammad.
