Sana'a: The educational sector in Sana'a Al-Jadidah District of Sana'a Governorate organized a speech event commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) for the year 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, the Head of the Education Sector in the governorate, Talib Dahan, discussed the circumstances and challenges that led Imam Hussein, known as the Imam of Martyrs, to initiate his revolution against oppressive rulers. He traced the course of Islamic history from its inception to the present challenges faced by Yemen, emphasizing the significance of martyrdom in Islam and recalling the initial sacrifices for the cause of monotheism.
District Director Abdullah Al-Marouni highlighted that Islam, as a religion, was designed in accordance with the natural disposition intended by God. He noted that Islam transcends the mere declaration of faith by urging action and struggle, a path followed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his successors, including Imam Hussein and his family.
Amin Maj'al, the Head of Education in the district, emphasized the importance of commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein to draw insights from its cultural and awareness aspects, applying these lessons to confront oppression and achieve the true faith intended by God for believers.
The event, which saw attendance from directors of government and private schools in the district, included a poem by student Mohannad Al-Hajri and a chant by students of Al-Riyadah School.
