Sanaa:The Ministry of Electricity, Energy, Water, and its affiliated bodies held a ceremony to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister Adel Bader emphasized that the revolution symbolized a renewed expression of freedom, independence, and national dignity. It marked the end of foreign domination and the restoration of Yemen's independent decision-making. He noted that the anniversary is a reminder of Yemen's ongoing struggle for independence, aiming to establish a strong state based on its own capabilities and resources.
Bader described the revolution as a comprehensive liberation movement, not just a political event. He highlighted its efforts to protect state institutions and promote national independence. He also reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to enhancing electricity and water services to alleviate citizens' hardships.
Deputy Minister for Electricity Affairs Ahmed Al-Mutawakel stated that the revolution was a turning point in Yemen's modern history, ending external dependence and strengthening national sovereignty.
Cultural activist Dhaifallah Rassam reviewed the revolution's achievements in political, economic, and social spheres, noting it had overcome conspiracies and challenges facing Yemen. He praised the resilience of the Yemeni people and their efforts to rebuild vital infrastructure despite ongoing challenges.
