Electricity & Water Sectors in Hajjah Commemorate Imam Hussein Martyrdom

Hajjah: The Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation, along with branches of the Electricity Corporation and the Rural Water Projects and Water Resources authorities in Hajjah province, organized an event to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

According to Yemen News Agency, Hajjah Governorate Deputy Mohammed Al-Qadi highlighted the importance of learning from the events of Karbala and understanding Imam Hussein's significance in faith and action. He noted that Imam Hussein stands as a symbol of sacrifice and resistance against tyranny, emphasizing the need to understand his life, struggles, and revolutionary actions.

The event gathered key figures such as Local Water and Sanitation Corporation Director Engineer Amin Al-Maghlas, Rural Water Projects Director Saleh Al-Falahi, Water Resources Director Ismail Al-Mahdi, and Central District Director Issam Al-Wazan. Deputy Governor Al-Qadi addressed Yemen's historical phase in supporting Al-Aqsa and the resistance in Gaza, honoring the martyred.

Technical Director Engineer Mohammed Abdulwadood spoke on Imam Hussein's esteemed status and his upbringing imbued with justice and martyrdom. He emphasized Imam Hussein's refusal to align with corrupt leadership, thus inspiring generations to challenge deviations from Islamic principles.

The event also featured cultural figure Bashir Al-Madoumi, who described Imam Hussein as a symbol of resistance and a model for successive generations. He stressed that Imam Hussein's revolution against oppression legitimized the sacrifice for Islam, marking a pivotal point against submission to injustice.
