Sana'a: The Emergency Committee at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works held a meeting today, chaired by the Deputy Minister, Yahya Al-Siyani, to update the emergency plan. The meeting was attended by the ministry's undersecretaries and the heads of its affiliated authorities and institutions. It focused on reviewing the tasks and duties assigned to each entity individually within the framework of implementing the emergency plan.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting discussed the role of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, the Road Maintenance Fund, and other entities and institutions affiliated with the ministry regarding emergency work. The Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works highlighted the importance of raising the level of readiness and preparedness for any options imposed by the current stage.
Al-Siyani emphasized the importance of working according to an integrated and unified mechanism that takes into account various aspects and ensures the best results. He explained that the exceptional situation the nation is going through necessitates continued readiness at all levels. Al-Siyani stressed the need to keep equipment and machinery in full readiness to provide support and assistance during emergencies and to ensure responsible handling of developments in this regard.
