Sana'a: The office of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance in Ibb Governorate today launched the distribution of the Ramadan charity bag and Eid clothing to female inmates of the Central Correctional Facility and their children as part of the project "And Cooperate in Righteousness and Piety."
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, the Deputy Governor, Qasim Al-Masawi, praised the role of the Endowments Office in providing for the needs of female prisoners and their children and bringing joy to their hearts during the days of the blessed Eid al-Fitr.
He called on philanthropists to contribute to attending to the concerns and needs of female inmates, detainees in the correctional facility, and the segment of the poor and needy, especially during the last ten days of the holy month, in which reward and recompense are multiplied.
For his part, the Deputy Director of the Office, Saddam Al-Omaisi, pointed out that the project's launch comes within the framework of the charitable projects implemented by the office during the month of Ramadan, and in implementation of the wishes and purposes of the endowers, noting the importance of the project in improving the living conditions of female prisoners and their children.
Meanwhile, the Directors of Financial Affairs at the Endowments Office in the governorate, Khaled Al-Hamdi, and Revenues, Youssef Ghurab, explained that the project targeted distributing the charity bag and Eid clothing to 75 female inmates and 20 children at a cost of two million three hundred seventy-five thousand riyals.
