Entesaf Organization Condemns Saudi Attacks on Civilians and Students

Sana'a:Entesaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights has strongly condemned the recent escalation and attacks by Saudi forces on civilians in populated areas. These attacks include two airstrikes on Beit Allahida in As-Sawan, Bani Hashish District, in Sana'a Governorate, resulting in the death of a female student and injuries to six others, including two students.

According to Yemen News Agency, another incident involved a strike on a farm in Beit Al-Shatibi, Sanhan District, where a woman was killed. Entesaf Organization stated that these attacks represent serious violations of international humanitarian and human rights laws, especially those protecting civilians. The organization emphasized the importance of adhering to principles of distinction and proportionality in conflict.

The organization highlighted that targeting students and other civilians is a grave violation of their right to life and safety, underscoring that children are entitled to special protection under international law. Entesaf called for the documentation and investigation of these violations and for holding those responsible accountable. It urged the international community to take effective measures to protect women, children, and other civilians, halt attacks on civilian areas and facilities, and ensure the protection of children and educational institutions.

Entesaf held the Saudi forces responsible for the attacks and their consequences, stressing the necessity for genuine accountability, redress, and measures to prevent future occurrences.
