According to Yemen News Agency, the pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 0.7 percent, heading for its second consecutive weekly decline if current pressures persist. This was reflected in the performance of European stock exchanges, with Germany's DAX index falling 0.9 percent and France's CAC 40 index dropping 1.2 percent.
Spain's IBEX 35 index declined by nearly six percent, amid traders' assessment of preliminary data indicating a slowdown in economic growth to 0.6 percent in the first quarter.
