Beirut: The residents of al-Amoud village in Mahliyah district of Marib governorate have organized a cultural evening to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), under the slogan "Never shall we submit to humiliation."
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by local and mobilization leaders who delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of drawing lessons and inspiration from the tragedy of Karbala in confronting the forces of arrogance and supporting the oppressed.
The commemoration of Ashura was considered an annual occasion to recall the values of truth and justice for which Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) sacrificed himself, urging adherence to these principles to confront the challenges facing the Islamic nation.
The speeches touched on the significance of commemorating the anniversary, which renews in people the spirit of giving and sacrifice for the sake of God and in defense of the nation's sovereignty and independence, calling on everyone to continue mobilizing and rallying to support the just causes of the nation.
