Sana'a: The residents of Al-Sharafi neighborhood in Al-Tadamun area, Al-Safiya District, in the capital, organized on Saturday a cultural and speech evening to celebrate the 1447 AH anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) birth. During the event, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Dharhi, a member of the Yemen Scholars Association, emphasized that celebrating the Prophet's birthday reflects the deep connection of the Yemeni people with the Messenger of Allah and their steadfast adherence to his righteous path since the dawn of Islam.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sheikh Al-Dharhi highlighted the significance of commemorating the birth of the Prophet-the mercy sent to all worlds-as an opportunity to draw lessons from his luminous life and follow his example. He affirmed that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is an essential part of Yemen's identity, faith, wisdom, and historical heritage.
Sheikh Al-Dharhi also pointed out that this great anniversary serves as an important occasion to reinforce faith, expressing belonging, loyalty, and love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The speeches called on all residents of Al-Safiya District to participate widely in the activities and events marking the Prophet's birthday in all neighborhoods, culminating in the central celebration on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
Meanwhile, in Al-Sab'in District, residents of Al-Hamza Al-Sharqiya neighborhood and Al-Huda Mosque in Badr area organized two evenings of celebration honoring the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). The speeches emphasized that commemorating this occasion represents a renewal of allegiance and devotion to the Prophet, a chance to learn from his noble life, and to embody his great moral values and principles. They affirmed that honoring and revering the Prophet contributes to dignity, elevation, and divine victory, calling for broad participation in the Prophet's birthday events and the display of joy and festivity on the occasion of the Messenger's birth.
