Hodeida: The Pharmacy Department at Hodeida province branch of the University of Science and Technology organized a celebration for World Pharmacists Day, which included the opening of a student pharmacy exhibition. Dr. Mohammed al-Laimeh, Director of the university branch, highlighted the importance of commemorating the day to showcase pharmacists' role in enhancing healthcare services, ensuring proper medication management, and supporting local pharmaceutical production. He emphasized that such activities raise students' awareness of the profession's future and its contribution to community well-being.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Head of the Pharmacy Department, Mohammed Abbari, described pharmacy as a humanitarian profession providing high-quality health services to all members of society. Following the ceremony, the university director, department heads, faculty members, and administrative staff inaugurated the pharmacy exhibition for the 1447H/2025 academic year.
The exhibition featured student projects, pharmaceutical products manufactured at university labs and local factories, samples of medicines and medicinal herbs, quality control sections including classical and automated analyses, herbal products, and awareness and educational materials.
