Sanaa: Al-Sabeen Maternity and Childhood Hospital in the Capital Secretariat organized a cultural event today to commemorate Ashura, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Allama Saleh Al-Khawlani, a member of the Yemeni Scholars' League, highlighted the importance of this commemoration. He explained that the occasion offers lessons and values crucial for distinguishing truth from falsehood, reforming the nation's reality, and strengthening its faith identity in the face of adversities.
Al-Khawlani elaborated on the significance of Ashura, emphasizing the themes of patience, steadfastness, and sacrifice. He urged the audience to adhere to the principles and values embodied by Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). He also discussed the prominent lessons from the occasion and stressed the need to translate them into practical actions in various aspects of life and work.
He called for enhancing cultural and faith awareness and consolidating important values and principles. This, he noted, would contribute to building a more conscious and cohesive society while reinforcing a spirit of responsibility and generosity.
