Sana'a: Sana'a University organized a speech event aimed at preparing and getting ready for the holy month of Ramadan, 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Mohamed al-Bukhaiti, chairman of Sana'a University, emphasized the importance of spiritual readiness to welcome Ramadan. He encouraged using this period to correct intentions, increase awareness, and benefit from the lectures of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi. Dr. al-Bukhaiti highlighted the significance of Ramadan for acts of worship, Quran recitation, good deeds, piety, and self-discipline, noting that piety is the primary goal of fasting.
He urged university staff, students, and faculty members to engage with the Ramadan lectures by the revolution leader, which focus on mental, spiritual, and practical preparation for the holy month. Dr. al-Bukhaiti regarded the month as a time for striving, soul purification, and fostering piety, rather than idleness or wasted time. He described the annual Ramadan lectures as a comprehensive educational project that combines individual worship with the collective responsibility of the nation.
The event, attended by university vice presidents, deans, faculty members, staff, and students, featured awareness flash presentations. These presentations reviewed aspects of the revolution leader's lectures on mental and spiritual preparation for Ramadan. They focused on practices such as sincere repentance, avoiding sins, purifying hearts from grudges, and preparing mentally and physically for the month, while also emphasizing cleanliness.
The lectures and presentations highlighted the need for enhanced social solidarity during Ramadan, encouraging the feeding of fasting people, assisting the poor and needy, and being mindful of economic conditions. They underscored the spiritual, faith-based, and physical preparations emphasized by the leader in his annual lectures for Ramadan readiness.
