Sanaa: A cultural event was held in Shu'ub district of the Capital Secretariat today at the Martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad Mosque in Al-Masna' neighborhood to commemorate the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah (Day of Guardianship), under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master."
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the First Deputy of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, the mobilization official in Al-Masna' neighborhood, Fares Al-Mahaqiri, and local leaders. The Deputy Mobilization Official of the district, Abdul Kafi Al-Shami, delivered a speech discussing the importance of guardianship (wilayah) and its place in the nation's faith-based consciousness. On the same occasion, the residents of Al-Qubbah, Al-Da'iri, and Al-Zira'ah neighborhoods in Ma'in district organized a massive community gathering and a cultural event held in the western Shamilan neighborhood, celebrating Yawm al-Wilayah.
The gathering involved local, executive, and mobilization leaders, along with social figures. It featured cultural, choral, and folklore segments expressing joy and a deep connection and loyalty to Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
In At-Tahrir district, a preparatory meeting was organized to commemorate Yawm al-Wilayah. This meeting was attended by the General Mobilization official in the district, Abdul Latif Al-Wali, the head of the Services Committee, Adel Al-Ansi, along with executive leaders, preachers, and community committees.
The meeting focused on mechanisms for preparing to commemorate this significant religious occasion, which is a pivotal milestone in the history of the Islamic nation and embodies the principle of guardianship (wilayah) of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him). It emphasized the importance of intensifying mobilization efforts for broad participation in the central event and holding seminars and awareness events to discuss the status and significance of celebrating Yawm al-Wilayah.
Additionally, the residents of the Forensic Evidence Square in the western Rawdah neighborhood of Bani Al-Harith district organized a cultural evening celebrating Yawm al-Wilayah of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). The evening, attended by leaders, the mobilization official in the western Rawdah neighborhood, neighborhood heads of the Forensic Evidence Square, and social figures, featured poems and heritage segments.
