Executive Authority in Amran Addresses Education Sector Performance and Summer Courses Activities

Amran: The Executive Office in Amran Governorate, led by Governor Dr. Faisal Ja'man, convened on Sunday to evaluate the performance of the education sector within the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as Shura Council member Mohammed Shawqi, First Deputy Governor Abdulaziz Abu Kharfasha, and Deputy Governor Abdulrahman Al-Gholi. They reviewed a report by Abdulrahman Al-Imad, Head of the Education Sector, which detailed the progress of general secondary and basic education examinations, as well as enrollment levels in summer courses and their activities.

The report underscored the successful execution of examinations despite limited financial resources, attributing this success to the collaboration between educational staff and local authorities. It also identified the challenges faced by the educational process and suggested solutions for improvement.

Furthermore, the report examined ongoing activities and programs within the summer courses, alongside the difficulties encountered, aiming to ensure their objectives are met.

During the session, Governor Ja'man highlighted the importance of proposing curriculum and teaching method enhancements to relevant authorities. He called for the provision of specialized teaching staff, particularly in remote areas, and emphasized the need for maintenance and rehabilitation of educational infrastructure across districts.

The governor reiterated the leadership's commitment to supporting educational and awareness programs that enhance student skills and abilities. He also stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between officials and the community to ensure the success of summer courses and address obstacles in the educational process. Additionally, he called for support to educational staff to maintain educational continuity in the upcoming academic year.
