Al-hodeidah: An expanded meeting of the eastern districts of Al-Hodeidah Governorate was held on Saturday in Bajil District, chaired by Governor Abdullah Atifi, to discuss mobilization plans and participation in the central celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, local and security leaders, community figures, sheikhs, directors, and officials of the eastern districts' mobilization offices, focused on the tasks of preparing for the central celebration and the operational framework of committees to ensure the desired momentum for 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
Discussions also addressed mechanisms to enhance mobilization for joining 'Al-Aqsa Flood' training courses in support of Palestine, maintaining readiness to respond to any emergencies, and continuing weekly popular marches in solidarity with Gaza, emphasizing Yemen's steadfast stance against Zionist aggression.
Governor Atifi stressed the importance of broad public engagement with the Prophet's birthday, considering it a faith-based milestone reflecting Yemenis' connection to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and their deep-rooted Islamic identity. He described the central celebration as the culmination of the festivities held across the governorate since the beginning of Safar, highlighting reverence for the Prophet and demonstrating the strength and cohesion of the Yemeni people. He added that the event sends a message to the world that Yemenis remain steadfast in following the path of the Prophet and reject all forms of foreign dependence and domination.
Governor Atifi also noted that the wide public turnout at the celebration reflects the identity and unity of Al-Hodeidah's residents, confirming their consistent presence at the forefront in defense of their religion, identity, and in confronting U.S.-Zionist aggression targeting the nation. He emphasized the importance of increasing participation in 'Al-Aqsa Flood' courses in preparation to confront the enemies of the nation, asserting that the full readiness displayed by Al-Hodeidah's youth today expresses loyalty to the Messenger of Allah and commitment to supporting Palestine.
During the meeting, speeches were delivered by the Governor's Deputy for Eastern Districts Affairs, Amer Muthanna; Director of the Governorate's Tribal Affairs Authority, Ibrahim Shara'i; and Head of the Guidance Sector, Abdulrahman Al-Warfi, emphasizing the significance of the occasion and the need to mobilize all energies to ensure the success of the central celebration. The speakers highlighted that the Palestinian cause is the compass of the united Ummah, and that the people of Tihamah are actively committed to supporting it and confronting Zionist schemes. They also noted that strong public engagement with religious and national occasions reflects the depth of the faith identity of Yemenis and underscores that their connection to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is the basis for their steadfast stance on the nation's issues.
