Festival and Evening Events Held in Bani Hashish to Mark Prophet’s Birthday

Sana'a: Cultural and public-speaking evening events were held on Friday in Bani Hashish District, Sana'a Governorate, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. The events took place in the areas of Rajam Al-A'la, Dhi Marmar, Al-Malikah, Sarf, Sawaan, and Al-Rawna, attended by Shura Council members Fadl Manea and Mohammed Mufaddal, Deputy Governor Manea Al-Aghbari, District Director Rajeh Al-Hanami, Mobilization Official Walid Al-Arkada, Readiness Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Mohammed Al-Laees, Adnan Al-Bahri, and Education Sector Official Sabri Al-Qahm.

According to Yemen News Agency, speakers highlighted the significance of the occasion and the importance of following the noble character of Prophet Muhammad, stressing that commemorating his birth reflects love for him, attachment to his example, and adherence to his values. They also discussed the significance of the occasion amid current challenges, highlighting the Yemeni people's steadfast support for Palestine as an extension of the Prophet's approach to defending the oppressed.

The speeches reviewed key aspects of the Prophet's biography and life, while calling for broad participation in the central celebration to be held in Sana'a on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. The evenings featured religious chants, poems, and devotional performances expressing joy at the arrival of the Muhammadan spring, in the presence of local mobilization officials.

As part of the activities, the Sawaan area also held a nighttime festival in Central Sawaan, attended by local council member Mohammed Al-Raishani, Initiatives Director Saif Al-Saqqa, neighborhood sheikhs, village representatives, and community leaders. Speakers emphasized the importance of commemorating the occasion in a manner befitting the Prophet's status, and called for broad participation in the major celebration at Al-Sabeen Square on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, describing it as an expression of Yemenis' adherence to their faith-based identity and a challenge to their adversaries.
