Saada: Saada governorate witnessed massive and angry popular vigils today, following Friday prayers, denouncing and condemning the repeated American and Zionist insults to the Holy Quran, in a scene that reflected the people of the governorate's adherence to the Book of Allah and their absolute rejection of any violation of the nation's sanctities.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the vigils, held in public squares in Saada city and a number of districts, raised copies of the noble Quran, chanting slogans affirming that these crimes will only increase Yemenis in faith and steadfastness on their religion and identity.
The statement issued by the vigils condemned in the strongest terms the crime of burning a copy of the noble Quran, carried out by extremists in the United States, considering it an extension of the systematic Zionist campaign against Islam and Muslims, and an exposure of the Zionists' enmity towards all human and moral values.
The statement stressed that dignity, honor, and strength can only be achieved by returning to the Holy Quran and adhering to its teachings, calling on Arab and Islamic peoples to activate the weapon of comprehensive economic boycott of American goods and products of countries that support these insults, as a practical step to deter the aggressors.
The statement also renewed the affirmation of the full support of Saada's people for the equation of "blockade for blockade," and their absolute backing for the Yemeni armed forces in their heroic operations against the Saudi enemy's mobilizations, blessing the qualitative missile and airstrikes that inflicted heavy losses on the enemy.
The statement called for continued mobilization and general mobilization at all levels, and high readiness in all circumstances, and stressed the importance of making the issue of insulting the Quran a central theme in the Prophet's birthday events and upcoming demonstrations and vigils.
