Field Committees from Ministry of Economy to Monitor and Control Supply, Price Violations

Sana'a: The field committee assigned by the leadership of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment, in collaboration with the Economy Office in Sana'a Governorate, is actively conducting field visits to the districts of Sana'a Al-Jadidah and Sanhan. These visits are part of a larger effort to monitor and control supply and price violations in the region.

According to Yemen News Agency, the recent visits targeted a total of 49 commercial establishments, including agents, wholesalers, supermarkets, mini-markets, grocery stores, and bakeries. During these inspections, records of 47 supply and price violations were documented against 28 establishments. The violations primarily involved unjustified price increases for certain types of cooking oils.

The field committees are continuing their efforts to monitor and address supply and price violations. As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Economy and Industry has encouraged citizens to report any violations they encounter. Citizens can do so by using the toll-free complaint number 174.
