Al-mahwit: A field team from the Emergency Central Development Interventions Unit in Al-Mahwit Governorate, in coordination with the Malhan Agricultural Association, conducted a field visit to Malhan District to assess 30 community, agricultural, and development initiatives.
According to Yemen News Agency, the visit was part of a plan to compile studies and evaluations for priority projects in the district. The aim was to identify local initiatives and assess their developmental feasibility, paving the way for comprehensive technical studies that would support the inclusion of projects with a direct impact in the governorate’s local development plan.
Engineer Mukhtar Al-Turki, representative of the governorate’s Emergency Central Interventions Unit, confirmed that the field evaluation was carried out as part of efforts to enhance community participation in identifying needs and priorities. This approach ensures that resources are directed toward the most sustainable projects.
He emphasized that the unit, in collaboration with local associations and organizations, adopts a scientific and participatory approach in preparing and implementing projects. This method contributes to sustainable rural development and aims to improve basic services in districts with the greatest needs.
