Hodeida: The leadership of the Public Telecommunications Corporation in Hodeida governorate conducted on Tuesday a field visit to monitor awareness activities for students in closed summer scouting centers in Bayt al-Faqih district, focusing on technology awareness and cybersecurity.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, Director of the Corporation's branch Ali Makki and Director of Bayt al-Faqih District Hussein Sahl reviewed the activities at the Martyr Leader Center for Islamic Sciences and the Martyr Abdullah Shalfan Shajab Center in al-Masoudi and Bani Shajab areas. Awareness guidance was provided on the safe use of the internet and ways to protect values from digital cultural infiltration.

Makki explained that this visit comes within the framework of the Ministry's activities launched last week to enhance technology awareness and cybersecurity among summer camp students, equipping them with skills to deal with modern technology from a faith-based and patriotic perspective. He emphasized the importance of distinguishing between the positive use of the internet and its misuse, which aims to undermine values and principles, warning against the dangers of its indiscriminate use.

The awareness material presented to the students focused on enhancing digital literacy and critical thinking about content, how to deal with cyberbullying, and highlighting that young people are guardians of values and ambassadors of Quranic identity in the digital space. This necessitates a sense of moral responsibility and awareness regarding what is disseminated on social media.

For his part, the director of the directorate praised the level of discipline and engagement in both centers, noting that equipping young people with technological awareness alongside religious knowledge is a fundamental step in building a strong generation that adheres to its faith-based identity and is capable of facing the challenges of the age and keeping pace with scientific advancements responsibly.
