Taiz: Minister of Finance Abduljabbar Ahmed and Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Sam al-Bashiri visited several hospitals in the Taiz governorate to assess healthcare services. The visit aimed at understanding the current state of medical facilities and the quality of care provided to patients in the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ministers toured al-Riyada Hospital in Khadeer district, where they commended the hospital for its provision of free medical services, particularly for dialysis patients from Taiz and Ibb, funded by the private sector. The Finance Minister, Abduljabbar Ahmed, announced customs and tax exemptions for medical equipment supplied to the hospital, emphasizing the government’s support for private sector-funded healthcare initiatives.
The ministers also inspected Taiz Hospital in al-Taezeyah district. During their visit, they reiterated the government’s commitment to bolstering the health sector, pledging support within the constraints of available resources. This visit highlights an ongoing effort to improve healthcare services in the region by collaborating with both public and private sectors.
