Finance Ministry Conducts Workshop on Budget Preparation for Independent Units and Special Funds

Sana'a: The Ministry of Finance organized an introductory workshop focusing on the policies, foundations, and procedures involved in preparing budget proposals for independent and affiliated units, as well as special funds. The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the necessary tools and models for effective budget planning and execution.

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop attracted 100 representatives from the Ministry of Finance, spanning 40 independent and affiliated units and special funds, alongside several ministry trainees. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Minister of Finance for Regulatory Affairs Mohammed Amer and Assistant Deputy Minister Abdullah Al-Dailami. Deputy Minister for Budget Affairs Fuad Al-Kumim underscored the workshop's significance in improving participants' understanding of budget preparation policies and procedures. He highlighted the Finance Minister Abduljabbar Ahmed's keen interest in the workshop, aimed at enhancing budget planning and streamlining discussions.

Assistant Deputy Minister for Regulatory Affairs Abduljalil Al-Dar outlined the workshop's agenda, emphasizing the participants' extensive experience and expertise in financial work and budget preparation. He explained that the attendees would be divided into groups representing various government entities, using a manual that serves as a comprehensive guide for all budget preparation rules and requirements.

Additionally, Ali Aydh, Director of Budgets for Independent and Affiliated Units and Special Funds, reviewed the manual's contents, highlighting its significance in providing comprehensive calculation, estimation, and analysis models necessary for effective budget preparation.
