Sana'a: The first diagnostic camp of the national campaign for the diagnosis and evaluation of children with autism, organized by the "Ibni" Autism Center in cooperation with the Bonyan Development Foundation, concluded on Tuesday in the Capital Sana'a. The event, supported by the Ministry of Health, was hailed as a pioneering medical and humanitarian initiative.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Abdulwahab Saad, Deputy Minister of Health, praised the efforts of the "Ibni" Center and Bonyan Foundation in providing much-needed care for children with autism. He stressed the ministry's commitment to supporting these efforts and encouraged the media and influencers to raise awareness about autism.
Dr. Ali al-Jarhzi from the Bonyan Foundation emphasized the importance of early diagnosis in ensuring a smooth treatment path for children and underscored the collaboration between the Ministry of Health, Bonyan Foundation, and "Ibni" Center in addressing health challenges.
Engineer Samir Al-Brouwi, Director of the "Ibni" Autism Center, called the camp a "cry of hope," highlighting the critical role of science and compassion in unlocking the world of autism. The campaign exceeded expectations, benefiting more families than initially anticipated and receiving strong community support.
A new initiative, "Awareness and Eid," will launch during the Eid al-Fitr holidays, with a specialized team providing awareness and initial diagnostic services in public parks and gardens, blending festive joy with essential care.
