Sana'a: The First National Meeting of Educational Supervision Leaders underscored the importance of joint efforts and serious pursuit of advancing supervisory work to improve the overall quality of the educational process. Participants in the two-day meeting, organized by the General Directorate of Educational Supervision with the participation of directors of educational supervision from 15 provinces, emphasized the need to unify evaluation methodologies through standardized fieldwork tools that facilitate supervisory tasks.
According to Yemen News Agency, they highlighted the significance of the professional development guide for teachers as a national reference to enhance professional competencies and improve teaching practices. They also stressed the importance of adopting a unified supervisory plan across all provinces, along with standardized supervisory reports designed in a hierarchical structure starting from schools and extending to higher levels, thereby ensuring accuracy in follow-up and clarity in performance indicators.
The meeting concluded in the presence of Deputy Minister of Education for Basic Education Sector Hadi Ammar; Acting Deputy Minister for Curricula and Educational Planning, Hamid Gathaya; Assistant Deputy Minister Abdul Latif Al-Moayyed; and Director of Educational Supervision Hussein Al-Hamran. They reviewed the papers presented by various provinces reflecting the current state and needs of educational supervision in the field.
Deputy Director of Supervision Abdul Wahab Al-Dar presented the meeting's activities, including discussion sessions and workshops, stressing the importance of unifying visions and integrating efforts to establish a modern and effective supervisory approach.
