Sana'a: The first open padel tournament continues in Sana'a, organized by the General Tennis, Squash, and Padel Federation with support from "Y" Telecommunications Company.
According to Yemen News Agency, eighty players from the youth, junior, veterans, and senior categories are participating in the tournament, which is part of the Tennis, Squash, and Padel Federation's plan for the current sports season. The tournament is set to continue until February 28.
The remaining matches of the first round saw several competitive games. The duo Mohammed Al-Hadrami and Ali Bassam triumphed over Elias Al-Khamisi and Ibrahim Hamid with a score of 9/7. Similarly, Mohammed Al-Kaboudi and Ibrahim Al-Qutari defeated Mohammed Sharaf and Marwan Al-Dali, also with a score of 9/7. Another match concluded with Ibrahim Hajib and Ahmed Zaki beating Suhail Radwan and Yasser Al-Kharbash 9/1.
In other matches, Mohammed Al-Batoul and Hudhaifa Al-Arigi overcame Amr Bahaibish and Ahmed Haider with a score of 9/1. Rashid Al-Hamdani and Sultan Al-Mismari defeated Suhaib Al-Ansi and Raed Sabrah 9/2, while Ahmed Al-Sammah and Mu'tasim Al-Houthi won against Mohammed Saeed and Mohammed Farhan with a decisive score of 9/0.
Previously, Abdul Sattar Al-Hamdani and Abdulhamid Al-Saqqaf had won against Adnan Awad and Sami Al-Zubairi with a score of 9/2.
