Sana'a: The Deputy Governor of Sana'a for Education and Youth, Talib Dahhan, has launched the first phase of academic, scientific, and cultural competitions for the children of martyrs in the governorate's schools.
According to Yemen News Agency, three thousand one hundred and twelve students, ranging from the sixth grade to the third year of secondary school, are participating in these competitions. The competitions are organized under the supervision of the governorate's education sector as part of the Educational Care Project for the Children of Martyrs.
The district-level competitions, held in all educational districts, have seen enthusiastic participation from students, encouraged by educational leaders and school principals. At the Sayyida Zainab Secondary School in the New Sana'a District, Deputy Governor Dahan highlighted the importance of these competitions in fostering a spirit of competition and motivating students to strive for academic excellence, honoring the sacrifices made by their fathers.
The launch event was attended by Zayed Al-Habiri, Deputy Head of the Projects Division, among other educational leaders. In other districts such as Sanhan, Bani Hashish, Hamdan, and Al-Hisn, Deputy Heads of the Education Sector, Amin Al-Jalal, Mohammed Khamis, and Sultan Al-Hakimi, indicated that the first phase is at the district level, with the second phase to follow at the governorate level.
Ceremonies across various districts saw attendance from local education officials, including curriculum and education planning heads, district directors, and directors of guidance at the Ministry of Education. Education sector officials urged the children of martyrs to emulate their parents' dedication to Quranic and jihadist culture.
