First Undersecretary of Capital Secretariat Inspects Conditions of Central Correctional Facility

Sana'a: The First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, along with Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, Head of the Social Affairs Committee and Deputy Head of the Development Team, conducted an inspection of the Central Correctional Facility in the Secretariat. The visit aimed to assess the conditions and facilities available to inmates.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Madani and Al-Naqeeb were joined by Mazen Nu'man, Undersecretary of the Secretariat for the Financial Sector and Resource Development, and Dr. Mohammed Qalalah, Deputy Director of Preventive Medicine at the Ministry of Interior. They evaluated the care, services, and training programs provided to inmates, focusing on their rehabilitation and professional development.

Brigadier Ali Abu Kahlah, Director of the Central Correctional Facility, provided insights into the facility's workflow, highlighting the enhancement of reform, training, and rehabilitation programs. These initiatives aim to support inmates psychologically, behaviorally, and professionally. An ongoing Ramadan competition for Quran memorization was also noted as part of the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority's efforts to promote faith values and Quranic culture among inmates.

The visiting officials commended the leadership of the Central Correctional Facility for their dedication to Quran memorization programs and inmate rehabilitation. They emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts to strengthen inmates' spiritual connection and support their rehabilitation.

During the visit, the Ula Al-Majd Foundation distributed Ramadan iftar meals to 250 female inmates and 33 children, reflecting charitable initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan.
