Taiz: The Deputy Governor of Taiz for Development Affairs, Abdul Wasi' Al-Shamsi, has initiated a project aiming to distribute Ramadan food baskets to poor and affected families within the Al-Jundiyah Al-Ulya sub-district, located in the Taizziyah District. This effort is part of ongoing social solidarity initiatives.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Al-Shamsi emphasized that this humanitarian project is designed to alleviate the struggles of vulnerable families while promoting solidarity and charity, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. The distribution specifically targets families affected in Al-Jundiyah Al-Ulya and neighboring areas.
The initiative is supported by a philanthropist, demonstrating community responsibility and humanitarian solidarity, and aims to aid poor families in meeting their basic needs throughout Ramadan. Deputy Al-Shamsi expressed gratitude for the charitable efforts of community philanthropists and highlighted the need to expand charitable and developmental work to foster compassion and solidarity amidst the country's challenging humanitarian situation.
Abdulrahman Saeed, the official in charge of the Al-Dalil Al-Khairi project, detailed that 170 Ramadan food baskets will be distributed as part of the initiative, supported by a philanthropist. The food baskets contain essential items intended to meet the needs of beneficiary families, with a commitment to fair and transparent distribution.
Saeed also urged philanthropists to increase their humanitarian efforts during Ramadan, to bolster social solidarity and extend charitable support to needy and affected families across various regions.
