Sanaa: A meeting of the Fisheries Sector at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, chaired by Fisheries Sector Undersecretary Dr. Fawzi Al-Saghir, discussed on Sunday the draft strategic plan and progress in implementing field projects. According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the plan's key areas, including an assessment of the current situation, strategic directions, value-chain development programs, infrastructure, scientific research, and community development.
Dr. Al-Saghir emphasized the importance of updating the strategic plan to strengthen institutional work and protect and develop fisheries resources. He highlighted the necessity of securing funding for field implementation and ensuring a realistic, participatory planning process that aligns with the ministry's guidelines.
