Sana’a Districts Host Events to Commemorate Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

Sana'a: Cultural and oratorical evenings and events continued in the capital city of Sana'a to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.

According to Yemen News Agency, in Shu'ub district, evenings were held in Al-Dhari and Al-Dawar neighborhoods of Al-Nasr district, and in Al-Safwa and Al-Jadiri neighborhoods of Sa'awan and Al-Fawaris districts. Cultural seminars were also held in several mosques, and educational activities took place in a number of schools. In addition, a large health meeting was held, and a sports league for the junior and youth categories was launched, with the participation of 16 teams from the district's neighborhoods.

The evenings and events, some of which were attended by the head of the Social Affairs Committee of the Local Council in the Secretariat, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, the Secretary-General of the Shu'ub Local Council, Mohammed Al-Hadrami, the Director of Mobilization for the Directorate, Abdullah Al-Koul, his deputy, Abdulkafi Al-Shami, the Director of Associations in the Secretariat, Nabil Rajih, mobilization officials, community leaders, and social figures, included a variety of segments.

In the Old Sana'a Directorate, an educational event was held, attended by the Undersecretary of the Secretariat for the Services Sector, Engineer Abdul-Fattah Al-Sharafi, the Director of the Directorate, Mahdi Arahab, educational and cultural leaders, and a number of families of martyrs, the wounded, and prisoners. Meanwhile, in Azal Directorate, an evening was held for the residents of Majal Al-Amir and Ghoul Al-Marani neighborhoods, along with educational activities.

Meanwhile, Al-Sabeen district witnessed cultural and oratorical events organized by residents of Al-Asbahi and Al-Hussein neighborhoods, the Martyrs of Al-Sabeen quarter, Bir Al-Zabib in the Al-Qalafan neighborhood, Al-Taawun Al-Sharqiyah in the Al-Qadisiyah Al-Janoubiyah neighborhood, South Al-Darn in the Al-Jarda neighborhood, Azal School, and the old Beit Ma'yad house.

Furthermore, residents of the Majid Al-Shamaliyyah quarter in the Al-Siyasi neighborhood of the Al-Wahda district celebrated the Prophet's birthday with a cultural evening attended by the district director, Sami Hamid, the mobilization officer, Abdullah Al-Dharrafi, the head of the Al-Wahda Cooperative Society, Muhammad Al-Nimr, and other executive and mobilization leaders and community figures.

These evenings and events included speeches, cultural presentations, poetry recitations, songs, folk performances, and religious chants expressing love for the Prophet Muhammad and reflecting the deep connection Yemenis have with their beloved Prophet and their celebration of his blessed birth.

The speeches highlighted the importance of commemorating the birth of the Prophet of humanity and mercy, a gift to all mankind. This celebration strengthens faith and belonging to the culture of the Holy Quran, encourages emulation of the Prophet's example and life, and promotes the embodiment of his noble character and values in acts of kindness, solidarity, and community cooperation.

They emphasized the necessity of sincere devotion and loyalty to the Prophet and the nation's need to follow his righteous path to achieve dignity, honor, victory, and empowerment over its enemies. This includes supporting the religion, the oppressed, and the nation's causes and sacred sites, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, and confronting arrogance and hegemony.

The speeches also reviewed key moments in the life of the Prophet, his noble character, his attributes, his patience, his struggle against disbelievers, hypocrites, and polytheists, and his efforts to spread the tolerant message of Islam and rescue humanity from injustice, ignorance, servitude, and the tyranny of oppressors.

They called on all the people of the districts of the capital to participate greatly in all activities and events, to mobilize and make a dignified appearance at the central event to celebrate the anniversary of the Prophet's birth on the twelfth of Rabi' al-Awwal, in a manner befitting the greatness and status of this occasion in the hearts of Yemenis.
