Hodeida: Fishery undersecretary Dr. Fawzi al-Sagheer at the Ministry of Agriculture and Head of the Red Sea Fisheries Authority Eng. Hussein al-Attas on Monday reviewed investment opportunities in ice factory projects and fish production inputs during a visit to al-Hawk Port in Hodeida province.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Sagheer emphasized creating a supportive investment environment to enhance product quality and aid fishermen, while al-Attas noted the strategic importance of ice factories for the fish supply chain.
The undersecretary also met with Murad Tarmoom, Executive Director of Sahel Tihama Cooperative Association, to discuss developing the association’s activities and linking them to the fisheries value chain.
Both sides highlighted collaboration to improve infrastructure, support fishermen, and enhance fish production and distribution.
