Amran: The Ibb branch of the General Authority for Water Resources and Facilities, in coordination with local authorities and security forces, conducted a field campaign today that resulted in the filling of five illegal hand-dug wells in the Yarim and Al-Saddah districts.

According to Yemen News Agency, the branch director, Mohammed Al-Warafi, explained that the campaign is part of the branch's efforts to protect water resources and curb unregulated drilling, which poses a direct threat to the governorate's groundwater reserves. He noted that the filled wells had been drilled in violation of the Water Law and its regulations.
