Foreign Affairs Ministry Cautions US and Britain Over Yemeni Judiciary Involvement

Sana'a: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a warning on Thursday to the United States, Britain, and others, advising against meddling in the affairs of Yemen's independent judiciary. The Ministry emphasized the judiciary's autonomy in fulfilling its responsibilities based on the constitution and relevant laws.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry highlighted that the Yemeni judiciary has adjudicated cases involving espionage networks working for foreign nations. These networks were found to have supplied information leading to aggressive actions that targeted multiple locations, resulted in numerous civilian casualties, and caused considerable infrastructure damage.

The Ministry's statement condemned any efforts to undermine the legitimacy of Yemeni judicial decisions as an intolerable intrusion into Yemen's sovereign matters and a violation of the judiciary's independence. It further criticized the United States for commenting on justice and human rights issues, accusing it of hypocrisy given its alleged involvement in global conflicts, including recent events in Gaza.

Reiterating its stance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Washington of attempting to discredit Yemeni court rulings as a means to conceal its espionage activities and protect individuals implicated in these operations.
