Sana'a: The Foreign Affairs Ministry and Expatriates has issued a warning regarding the continued and escalating aggression by the Israeli entity against Palestine and Lebanon, emphasizing that these actions are being carried out under the guise of regional developments.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry strongly condemned the Israeli targeting of Lebanese infrastructure, including bridges, labeling it a flagrant violation of both the Charter of the United Nations and international humanitarian law. The statement urged the Lebanese government to focus its efforts on confronting the Israeli threat, rather than directing hostility toward regional parties like Iran. This call comes in response to a recent announcement by the Israeli Minister of Defense expressing intentions to occupy extensive areas in southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.
The ministry's statement criticized the Lebanese Foreign Ministry's position, noting the timing coincides with Iran's ongoing battle for the nation and Hezbollah's struggle for liberation, independence, and dignity. The ministry emphasized the need for Lebanon to support Iran and Hezbollah's efforts to confront and expel the Israeli occupier from southern Lebanon.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry also condemned recurrent attacks by Israeli settler gangs against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank, describing these actions as a significant escalation of repressive and aggressive policies against the Palestinian people. Additionally, it warned against the continued closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers, stating that this act provokes Muslims worldwide and risks destabilizing regional security.
Reaffirming Yemen's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, the ministry reiterated its commitment to the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, including self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with al-Quds as its capital. It also expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people and their resistance, asserting Yemen's support for Lebanon's right to defend its land, people, and sovereignty by all legitimate means.
