Sana'a: The Yemeni Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdul Wahid Abu Ras, has issued a letter to key international figures addressing the recent targeting of the Prime Minister and other members of the Government of Change and Construction by the Zionist entity. This letter was sent to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council, and was circulated among all UN member states, the European Union, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, the letter highlights the attack that occurred last Thursday, marking it as a violation of Yemen's sovereignty and a breach of international law, including the UN Charter and the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949. The Deputy Minister described the attack as a significant precedent in international relations, adding to a history of alleged crimes by the Zionist entity against Yemen.
The communication underscores the ongoing impact of these actions, stating that such aggression has targeted civilian infrastructure in Yemen since July 2024, affecting airports, ports, power stations, factories, and residential areas. The Deputy Foreign Minister called for the international community to intervene, urging accountability for the Zionist entity and an end to what is described as a policy of impunity.
