Foreign Ministry Lauds Security Forces for Uncovering Espionage Network

General

Sana'a: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates praised the achievement of the Ministry of Interior and security agencies in arresting a spy network operating under a joint operations room involving the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Israeli Mossad, and Saudi intelligence, which was directed from Saudi territory.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Foreign Ministry described these espionage and hostile activities as a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as a flagrant breach of international laws and norms that criminalize interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.

The statement explained that such hostile intelligence activities are a continuation of the comprehensive aggression imposed on Yemen since March 26, 2015, and an attempt to deter Yemen from supporting the central cause of the Muslim nation-Palestine.

The Ministry stressed the need for the Saudi regime to review its hostile policies and to engage positively with peace efforts aimed at ending the prolonged aggression and blockade, instead of persisting in plotting harm against the Yemeni people-actions that undermine regional security and stability.

The statement noted that all evidence, indicators, and confessions by the arrested cell confirm that its members were fully trained, funded, and directed by the Saudi regime-proof of its lack of seriousness in pursuing peace or turning the page on the past, and clear evidence of its continued subversive approach targeting Yemen's land and people.

The Ministry also affirmed that it was the Saudi regime that declared war on the Republic of Yemen, led the coalition of aggression, and created an illegitimate entity to falsely represent Yemen in international forums.

The statement concluded by affirming that the Yemeni people are fully aware of who is responsible for their suffering and humanitarian crisis, and will not remain idle in the face of such actions, but will continue defending their sovereignty and national dignity by all legitimate means.

The Ministry called on the international community to condemn these grave violations of Yemen's sovereignty and to support efforts aimed at achieving peace, stability, and ending the ongoing aggression and blockade against the country.
