Sana’a: European stocks rose on Tuesday as investors anticipated the possible end of the longest government shutdown in U.S. history and assessed the earnings results of telecommunications companies, including Vodafone and Inwit. European stocks recorded their biggest daily gains in six months on Monday, supported by traders’ relief that the end of the U.S. government shutdown would mean the resumption of the release of important official data.
According to Yemen News Agency, the European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.5 percent to 576.05 points, its highest level in two weeks, by 08:10 GMT. Global stocks had a strong start to the week, driven by optimism surrounding the end of the shutdown in the United States. The anticipation of renewed economic data releases was a significant factor in the positive market sentiment observed across the region.
