Red Sea Ports Authority & Hodeidah Port Sectors Mark Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

Sana'a: The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Hodeidah Port Customs, the General Authority for Maritime Affairs, the Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control branch, and the Coast Guard Sector held a ceremony marking the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. Speaking at the event, attended by Dr. Hussein Maqboli, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim said Hodeidah residents' observance of the occasion reflects Yemenis' deep historical ties to the Prophet and their continued adherence to his teachings.

According to Yemen News Agency, Qahim highlighted Yemen's support for the Palestinian cause and its resilience despite what he described as aggression, siege and difficult circumstances. He also praised workers at Hodeidah's ports for continuing to provide vital services despite attacks and damage to port facilities.

Hodeidah Governor Abdullah Atifi said celebrating the Prophet's birthday demonstrates Yemenis' commitment to his teachings and their support for the causes of the Muslim nation, particularly Palestine.

Red Sea Ports Corporation Planning Director Waddah Mujmal said the occasion represents a renewed declaration of loyalty to the Prophet and an opportunity to draw lessons from his life, including sacrifice, justice and compassion.

Sheikh Darwish Al-Wafi, speaking on behalf of scholars, said the Prophet's birthday is an important occasion to renew devotion to the Prophet and reaffirm adherence to the Quran and his teachings.
