Hodeidah: Grameen Yemen Foundation will launch its 27th free eye surgery medical camp next Sunday in Al-Zahra District of Hodeidah Governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the five-day camp, organized in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Environment and its office in the governorate, aims to perform 350 surgeries, including cataract removal and lens implantation, in addition to medical examinations and the distribution of medications.

The director of the medical camp, Nasr al-Dabab, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the camp, which will be held in the Al-Ma'ras area, comes as part of the foundation's ongoing efforts to ease the suffering of poor and low-income patients.

He noted that during the first and second days of the camp, examinations and medical assessments will be conducted to identify cases requiring surgical intervention. Al-Dabab considered the camp an extension of the center's efforts through the previous 26 camps, which provided services to thousands of patients and carried out 8,662 free cataract removal and lens implantation surgeries.
