Hodeida: A five-day free eye care camp will begin Sunday in the al-Zuhra district of Hodeida province, aiming to perform 300 surgeries for patients in need.

According to Yemen News Agency, the camp is organized by the Grameen Yemen Foundation in coordination with health authorities. It will offer cataract surgeries, lens implants, medical check-ups, and free medication to those attending.

Organizers mentioned that the initial days of the camp will focus on screening and identifying cases that require surgical intervention. This process is crucial to ensure that the most urgent needs are addressed efficiently.

The initiative represents a continuing effort to support low-income patients in the region. It builds on the success of previous camps that have delivered thousands of free eye operations, significantly improving the quality of life for many individuals in the community.
