Bayda: Abdullah Al-Jamali, Deputy Governor of Al-Bayda for Administrative Units Affairs, inaugurated the 64th free medical camp for eye treatment and surgery at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Al-Bayda city.
According to Yemen News Agency, the camp is organized by the Health Care Society for Affected Communities with funding from the General Zakat Authority. During the inauguration, Deputy Governor Al-Jamali, the Director of the Health and Environment Office, Dr. Mujahid Al-Khatri, and the Director of Al-Thawra General Hospital, Dr. Nasser Al-Ajli, received detailed information from Dr. Nashwan Al-Attab, head of the society, regarding the procedures for receiving patients, conducting examinations, and identifying those in need of surgical intervention.
Dr. Al-Attab explained that the camp will offer free examinations and surgeries, including cataract operations, pterygium removal, and eyelid cyst procedures. The initiative aims to provide necessary medical services to patients who are unable to afford surgical treatments.
During the event, which was also attended by Al-Bayda City Director Ahmed Al-Rassas, Deputy Governor Al-Jamali highlighted the significance of organizing such free medical camps to support those in need and to address healthcare requirements in the community. He acknowledged the contributions of the Health Care Society for Affected Communities, the General Zakat Authority, and the Ministry of Health and Environment in facilitating these camps, which play a crucial role in offering medical assistance to eye patients affected by adverse circumstances.
