Sa'ada: The body of the late Mujahid Mohammed Abdullah Salem al-Ayyani was on Wednesday laid to rest in Sa'ada province in a solemn funeral procession, attended by Governor Muhammad Awad, Brig. Gen. Murtada al-Hashimi, and local officials.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Ayyani, who passed away after a life devoted to jihad and service, was honored for his pioneering role in the Qur'anic project and his contributions to defending the homeland.
Mourners extended condolences to his family, praying for his forgiveness and eternal rest, as he was buried in al-Saifi Martyrs' Cemetery following prayers at Imam al-Hadi Mosque.
