Aden: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has issued a forecast predicting cold and relatively cold weather in several highland areas, while warning of rough sea conditions south of the western coast and at the Bab al-Mandab Strait over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates a slight rise in temperatures is generally expected; however, the highlands of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and Ibb will continue to experience cold conditions at night and during the early morning hours. Additionally, relatively cold conditions may be observed in the highlands of Al-Jawf, Marib, Hadramout, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah.
The forecast also highlights the likelihood of rough seas south of the western coast and at the Bab al-Mandab Strait, with wind speeds potentially reaching 30 knots. This has prompted the center to issue warnings to citizens in the aforementioned mountainous highlands about the cold weather, specifically advising caution for the elderly, children, the sick, and outdoor workers during the night and early morning.
Furthermore, the center has urged sea-goers, fishermen, and ship captains operating south of the western coast and at Bab al-Mandab to be vigilant of rough seas and high waves.
